What happened: The UK Budget, published on 28 October 2026, says the Graduate visa (the post-study work visa) will be two years for graduates of “high-compliance universities” with strong graduate job outcomes. The government had already planned to cut the Graduate visa from two years to 18 months from January 2027. For eligible universities, the Budget reverses that cut.
